Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 9, 2025

This Privacy Policy explains how Context Engineering ("we," "us," or "our") collects and processes the very limited information needed to operate our Service. Your privacy and the security of your intellectual property are fundamental to our design.

1. Our Role as a Privacy-Focused Orchestrator

It is critical to understand our role. Our Service is not a chatbot or a general-purpose AI. It is a specialized orchestration tool that activates only when you invoke our plan_feature function within your development environment (the "Client").

When you use this specific tool, our Service guides you through a planning process and temporarily collects your answers to our questions. This data is held in active memory for the sole purpose of constructing a coherent feature plan during that single session.

This data is automatically and permanently discarded the moment your planning session is complete. We do not monitor, collect, or store any other part of your conversation or chat history within your Client.

2. Information We Collect

We collect an absolute minimum of information, focusing only on what is essential to provide and bill for the Service.

a. Information We Process Temporarily During a plan_feature Session:

  • Planning Inputs: When you use our plan_feature tool, we temporarily collect your answers to the specific planning questions we ask. This data is held only in your active session's memory and is used exclusively to build the feature plan. It is never written to any permanent storage like a database or log files.

b. Information We Collect and Store for Account Management:

  • Account Information: When you subscribe, we collect your email address. This is used solely to create your account, generate your Access Key, manage your subscription, and send essential service-related communications.

c. Information We Explicitly Do Not Collect or Store:

  • Your Source Code: We do not and cannot access, transmit, view, or store any of the source code from your local machine. Your code never leaves your computer.
  • General Chat History: We do not see, log, or store any conversations that occur outside of the specific plan_feature workflow.
  • AI-Generated Content and Responses: The output, code, and other responses generated by your configured LLM are streamed directly to your Client. We do not log, view, or store this content in any way.
  • Payment Information: We use a trusted third-party payment provider. We do not collect, receive, or store your credit card details.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the limited information we process strictly for these purposes:

  • To Provide the plan_feature Service: To temporarily use your Planning Inputs to construct a feature plan during an active session.
  • To Manage Your Account: To create your account, authenticate your requests via your Access Key, and manage your subscription status.
  • For Security and Fraud Prevention: We use standard server logs (which may include IP addresses) to protect the integrity of our Service.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share the minimum information required only with trusted third-party providers for essential business functions:

  • Payment Provider: To manage your subscription.
  • Data Hosting Provider: To store your permanent account information (email and subscription status).

We do not share your Planning Inputs, source code, or any AI-generated content with any third parties.

5. Data Retention

Our data retention policy is designed for maximum privacy:

  • Planning Inputs: This data is ephemeral. It is stored only in temporary memory during an active plan_feature session and is automatically and permanently discarded at the conclusion of that session.
  • Account Information: We retain your account information for as long as your subscription is active. We will delete this information upon your request, in accordance with applicable law.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information. You are also responsible for maintaining the security of your Access Key.

7. Your Data Rights

Depending on your location (e.g., under GDPR), you may have rights regarding your personal information. To exercise these rights, please contact us at [email protected].

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside of your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. If we make material changes, we will notify you. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
